Janice and Roric’s Sweet Summer Wedding at Mt View Orchards

Happy and loved — these are the words Janice and Roric used to describe how they wanted their wedding day to feel. And this is exactly how the day felt to me, and to everyone who celebrated Janice and Roric’s beautiful union. Located at Mt View Orchards in Mt. Hood, Oregon, this wedding was joyous, vibrant, and sweet. After photographing this couple’s engagement session at the Columbia Gorge, I was thrilled to see their wedding day finally arrive.

Wedding at Mt View Orchards

Mt View Orchards is in the Hood River Valley in Oregon. With Mt. Hood so close, the scene from this Oregon wedding venue is stunning, and the perfect place to begin a new chapter of life. This venue can hold up to 160 guests for your wedding, and they’ll even include fresh fruit straight from the orchards on your catering menu!!

For an early July wedding, Janice and Roric couldn’t have picked a better venue here in Oregon. I loved the vibrancy of the summer day, and the way all the details came together to create a cheerful, honey-sweet wedding for these two. I told Janice that I loved the whimsical look of her florals, and she was overjoyed. That had been exactly what she was hoping for when putting things together!

Special Moments

It’s impossible to say that any part of a wedding day is the “best” or “most special.” But after a decade of being a wedding photographer in both the Pacific Northwest and California, I’ve found that there’s usually at least one particular thing that stands out to me. And for each wedding, it’s something different, which speaks to the personal touch and level of unique care that goes into each celebration.

For this wedding, Janice decided that she wanted to do a first look with her mom. During this sweet mother-daughter moment, Janice’s mom spoke some really kind and loving words to her daughter that made all of us just swell up with emotion. It was an honor to witness and document that moment!
