This gorgeous venue is found in Julian, CA. North East of downtown San Diego. Once you arrive on the property of this private estate, you feel transported.

They offer multiple ceremony spaces for their couples. Each one offers a secluded space where a small elopements or large weddings can take place. One of the ceremony locations, called The Sunset Plateau, holds the most gorgeous mountaintop view. They also include on-site decor for you to choose from. You are able to create a unique celebration for your best day ever, while making it one less thing for you to worry about and I LOVE THAT.

When their original wedding plans were disrupted by the pandemic, Dee and Brian were looking for a private venue to hold their tiny elopement. When they had told me they were considering Sacred Mountain Julian, I couldn't help but feel giddy. I find it to be one of the most romantic spaces to marry the love of your life.

Dee wore her original choice wedding gown for their elopement. It was an emerald green dress with gold sparkles throughout. The way the light caught it during their portraits was simply breathtaking.

Her glam wave curls, done by hairstylist Debbie Rhoades, paired so well with her red lipstick, she had all the Downton Abbey vibes. Sherry, with Julian Floral, complimented the vibe with fall colored florals for the ceremony and Dee's bouquet.

Dee's sister officiated their private ceremony, and her dad and myself were their sole witnesses. As they shared their vows to each other we all had tears in our eyes.

There is something so powerful about letting go of the big, elaborate wedding you had planned.

The year 2020 taught us many things. One of them being, to take a step back and to come as you are. Elopements like these always end up being some of my favorite because the couple stays so true to who they are. This is the love that we're celebrating, and this is the story that I am documenting. It's simple and oh so precious.
