Sunset Bay Lodge at the Ballard Elks sits right on the water in Seattle. It is such a great location for a wedding with plenty of amenities and beautiful views, and plenty of city vibes right near by. For Becca and Sam’s engagement, we wandered the streets of Ballard and stopped into their favorite places, so this was a special addition to that photo session. They absolutely love Ballard as it’s were they met and fell in love. Only made sense for them to get married there as well! I’m excited to show off their wedding as the details were so unique and beautiful.
Wedding Day Details at Elks Lodge in Ballard
In case you’re new around here, I love a bold color pallet for a wedding. And Becca and Sam definitely brought that! From their signage provided from Grand Mason Goods, rentals from Pedersen Event Rentals, to their floral colors produced by Pollen in Love to the table décor, everything was bright and bold and unique!
The flowers featured differing shades of orange and red with accents of white and green. Such a cool color combination. Not quite fall, and showed off their bold personalities and style. In the same vein, all the signage was in these colors as well as the table décor. It really made their taste stand out. It brought so much warmth and vintage vibes to the day.
And to top it off the ceremony had touches of pompas grass and some mauve while overlooking the blue waters. It all contrasted and complemented each other perfectly.
The Social Co. wedding planner really help to execute this day to its fullest potential!
Unique and Sentimental Moments to Make Your Wedding Day
I love when couples find ways to reflect themselves wholly in their wedding day. Obviously, Becca and Sam already did that with their mid-century modern décor and color pallet. On top of that, they included their friends and family in special ways that were super emotional.
They planned a reveal and first look with their both their parents that ended up in tears and lots of hugs. It was super sweet to witness. In addition, they asked their friend to officiate the ceremony, which ended up being one of the funniest and genuine wedding ceremonies I’ve gotten to be a part of. It had everyone in knots!
Becca ended the night by changing into a jumpsuit that was so cute! We got to sneak out from the mosh-pit reception (thanks for DJ Bamboo Beats) to take some portraits in the jumpsuit which were stunning with the sunset over the water.
Every wedding I get to be a part of feels special, but being with Sam and Becca from engagement session through their thoughtfully designed day at Elks Lodge in Ballard was an especially great day this season.
