I have been a wedding photographer since I was 18. Now, 15 years later, it’s still my favorite way to tell stories. One thing I started offering early on in my photography journey are mini sessions. These are short and sweet sessions, periodically throughout the year to ensure that they’re still getting their milestones captured. In a way, I’m able to become a “lifetime photographer” for my wedding couples, and nothing makes me happier than watching them in their journey, year after year.
It’s important to note that mini sessions aren’t limited to couples I’ve worked with. I’ve also had families who didn’t know of me previously join in the fun. A lot of these mini sessions are geared toward families with kids. It’s the best way to get family photos every year or every season as your family grows. However, I do like to note that your family doesn’t need to mean “people with kids.” We can celebrate the journey of just the two of you, or even involve your pets!

I have been offering season mini sessions throughout the year, with my main sessions taking place in the fall.
I typically do these in all of the areas I primarily serve: Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, and Orange County, CA. Fall sessions are typically used for holiday card photos and my most popular, taking place in September and October. I’m always trying to find new and fun locations, to not only give my clients variety from year to year, but also to spark my own creativity and inspiration. However, I also love returning to a fan favorite spot every so often because when it checks all of my boxes, it allows us to create some incredible images. Sometimes it’s a location that requires a permit and if that’s the case, I wrap the permit cost into the overall cost of the mini session.
More recently, I’ve really loved to offer mini sessions throughout each season. Including offering themes like mommy and me sessions, tree farm sessions, etc. Sometimes, it’s based on a venue offering a special read-to-go setup with a theme, or based around the blooming schedule of certain flowers. Offering sessions in each season has been a really fun way to celebrate love throughout the year.
We’ve also quietly made the change that for kiddos, we’re going faceless.
Meaning: Side profile, half hidden, backs of heads. This means that our advertising photos aren’t going to show the smiling faces, goofy grins, and full personalities on display for all to see. Trust me when I say – your gallery will have PLENTY. But throughout sessions we will also focus on faceless moments, too. The hope is that our brand will stand above that and only add more trust by offering this as a blanket statement.
It’s important to us that not only do you feel seen, known, and celebrated, but also safe. This promise extends to your kids.

Included in each mini session package:
Each booking is a 20 minute session. You can expect 40 high-resolution, edited photographs ready to download and share without watermarks, and personal printing rights. You will also have the ability to order through my professional lab. Every session has the option to add on 35mm film for $25. And as always, your children’s privacy is protected in any images I share online.
A $200 retainer and signed contract is required to reserve your time slot, and the remaining balance will be due on the day of your session.
Spots are limited, so if you have your eye on a favorite location, don’t wait too long. I can’t wait to see you this fall!
