An Ebey’s Landing engagement session has been on my bucket list since I moved to Washington. It’s a beautiful trail stretching along the coast of Whidbey Island near Coupeville. It has everything: lush greenery, a bluff overlooking the water, expansive fields, and a good Washington beach. I love when we get a variety of scenery for engagement shoots! Some of my favorite reception shots took place on a beach.

Ebey’s Landing will give you a dream engagement session!

Bri, Nick, and I began their engagement shoot down on the beach and worked our way up to the fields overlooking the water. And we scored the PERFECT golden hour sunset. I love those golden hour shots, and try to sneak them in on wedding days to give you a chance to step away for a bit and enjoy some quiet time during your reception.

For Bri and Nick’s engagement session, we were stoked to soak up some of the summer sun! Even though their wedding was only a month away from their pictures, they wanted sun for both and I’m glad we were able to make it happen! It’s always fun to spend some time together before the wedding day to get to know each other better.

There’s no wrong answer for engagement session weather…but I love a good golden hour!

Since there were so many great locations for pictures at Ebey’s landing, I got to play around with all different kinds of engagement photo posing. Bri’s mom LOVED the airplane shots, and made sure to get a few of them printed for the wedding day. I sent along a sneak peek before the wedding since they took place so close together! Some of my other favorite couple poses are asking the couple to run at or away from the camera, get down on the ground and cuddle up, and of course, we make sure to get that smiling at the camera picture!
