There is nothing better than a beautiful August micro wedding in northern Washington State. Except perhaps, a greenhouse micro wedding with two outfit changes! Jaylynn rocked a traditional wedding dress for the first half of the day (from KittyChen Couture), switched into a mini gown for part of the reception and then ended the night and sunset portraits with an AMAZING green and pink ballgown.

Nothing wrong with switching up your wedding dress!

Christianson’s Nursery in Mount Vernon Washington is a unique and beautiful wedding venue that spends most of the time as a plant nursery! They have a yard of outdoor plants along with greenhouses. It is one of my favorites both for small weddings as well as portrait sessions. Your ceremony can be outside on either side of the old school house. And your reception nestles amongst the plants inside the greenhouse. A greenhouse reception lends itself to romance and intimacy! Isn’t being surrounded by plants at your wedding a millennial day-dream?

Even in the winter, Christianson’s Nursery wedding is a dream!

Jaylynn and Jarrett made a whole trip of their wedding. They started in Alaska, and brought their whole family to Washington to end in a wedding! Such an amazing way to incorporate family into a weeklong celebration. The benefit to traveling for your wedding or doing a destination wedding is that it allows you to keep it intimate and go home afterwards to relax in your newlywed life.

Jaylynn and Jarrett hired a wedding painter to add a unique aspect to their wedding--Art by Elina. She created a scene from their wedding day live! You'll see in the images below how the painting transformed over the course of the day!
