My previous post holds all the photos from Jeff and Cathy Moon’s wedding day – the getting ready photos, ceremony, family portraits, and the reception. This post is filled with the beautiful couples session, located on a path behind the church (Pacific Hills Calvary Chapel in Aliso Viejo), where they got married.
It was so wonderful to ride off for a while with the bride and groom for their couples session. Sometimes having other people (bridal party, family, ect) surrounding us during the couples session can be a big distraction to the couple. For this one, we had a short amount of time, but also no one around. They immediately warmed up to the camera, and giggled like teenagers as I had them do some dip kisses and lifting kisses. It was the cutest thing ever – I couldn’t get enough!
Seeing their love and hearing their story warms my heart. That’s what you’ll see in this post. And I hope it warms your heart, too.
Enjoy!

{How did you meet?} We met at work. It was very unusual circumstances and neither of us was expecting to meet, fall in love and get married. The circumstances were so unusual, it had to be God’s handiwork.

{Was there a specific moment in your relationship when it hit you, that you were going to marry this person?}
Bride: When he proposed (but I wanted to marry him long before that)
Groom: On our first date.

{What was the proposal like?} It was a cold and dark December day….not to sound so tale telling but the reason I put it that way is that is was dark and cold because it was December and dark because we were having a total lunar eclipse. It’s funny because some people say things like “well maybe if all the stars align together one day I will do this or that…” and on this day, all the stars AND the sun, earth and moon aligned which I think is more than ironic, I think its down right charming in its own godly way, because “Moon” is our last name and perhaps this was God’s way of going BIG in showing us His awesomeness through the irony – I like to think of it that way at least.
We truly never believed each of us would ever meet someone so made to be our partner in life, it is a miracle for sure.
(By the way – the lunar eclipse wasn’t something we knew ahead of time the server at our restaurant mentioned it that night before we left to the beach where Jeff proposed)

{Is there anything else you would like to share with my readers?} We were both married before, and it left us disappointed, very disappointed and neither of us ever imagined that we would find love. Each of raising kids alone, getting older, kids getting older, figuring marriage was just something that wasn’t meant for us…turns out it just wasn’t time yet. God has his perfect plan – trust it ALWAYS.

{Where did you go for your honeymoon?} We drove up the California Coast - it was beautiful.
{Testimonial for TMinspired Photography} Where do I begin? I was introduced to Taylor through a recommendation and I had talked/met with other photographers prior. Upon meeting Taylor, I knew almost instantly that she would be our photographer. She shared her work with us and I was impressed, I was also impressed with her. She is professional, trustworthy, punctual, patient and has a gift both in her photography and her person. What I mean by “person” is that Taylor has a presence which calms (and calmed) an otherwise nervous, frantic bride.
I will always remember the moment she walked in the hotel on the wedding day and it was like an angel walked in the room peaceful and easy, just clicking away here and there in the middle of all of the mania that goes with getting ready for a wedding….she was outstanding and it is this element of grace that she brings with her in taking the photos as well as knowing how to work with her subject(s) that sets her apart.
I had this feeling about her when I hired her and she proved it to be so.
She asked about us, how we met, what did we like to do, she wanted to know us and we wanted her to know us too because this was our biggest day ever and capturing its essence was important.
Well, we love all the pictures so much, she brought everyone together in an easy, comfortable way, most of all she captured special moments that not even we were aware of, we are very satisfied – it’s as if she is with you in heart and knows what matters most.
Thank you Taylor so much – we would definitely recommend you to all brides, grooms, anyone.

“Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death.” ~ Song of Solomon 8:6a
Jeff and Cathy, thank you SO much for having me be apart of your wedding day. Nathan and I had a great time capturing your day, and I personally loved getting to know you, Cathy. I pray that your relationship will blossom and grow into a love so fruitful, that it inspires others to know Christ, as you do. I’m excited for our future Trash/Rock the Dress session, simply for the opportunity to work with you two again. Congratulations!!
