Lauren and Kyle’s wedding at Willows Lodge in Woodinville, WA was a celebration that I looked forward to for a long time! After getting to know each other through social media and photographing their engagement, seeing the electric celebration these two had at a gorgeous Washington venue was super special!

It’s hard to believe that there are so many unique, magical places in the Pacific Northwest. Just when I think I’ve found all the gems in my area, another one pops up and surprises me! Willows Lodge, in Woodinville, WA, has a spa, great food and drink, and beautiful stays. Whether it’s a wedding or just a weekend getaway, this is a beautiful place. 

Plus, Washington is at its best in early fall. With beautiful weather, the sun shining, and flowers blooming, it doesn’t get more perfect. The gardens and old trees at Willows Lodge make for the perfect, peaceful setting for any wedding, elopement, or getaway for you and your partner.

When Lauren reached out to me to photograph their wedding, she said: "I would be super excited to have you with us on our special day and feel like I've ‘gotten to know you’ on Instagram the last few months (social media is wild lol)."

I feel like a lot of couples feel this way, that they genuinely know me because of how I put myself out there on social media. Vulnerabilities and all! It's helped build trust with the couples who follow me. I’m able to strengthen those relationships as time goes on. When it's time to move forward and book a wedding photographer, I am so happy to come to mind as their photographer, and as someone they feel comfortable calling a friend! I love that I've found a job that allows me to call the people I serve my friends!

After their gorgeous engagement session at Golden Gardens in Seattle, I was even more excited and ready for this wedding at Willows Lodge in Woodinville. It couldn’t have been a better celebration of their love and journey together. Plus, The Blue Wave Band absolutely nailed the vibe of the dance floor. It's an entirely different vibe of reception when a couple chooses a live band vs. a DJ. I'm all for it!
