Check out this shoot on Junebug Weddings.
I have been dreaming up this retro 1970's styled micro wedding shoot for over a year! When it finally happened, it came to life even better than I could have imagined. The shoot includes both a ceremony and reception for our two brides (a couple in real life!). The details fuse in disco balls, a fringe photo booth backdrop, colorful florals, a unique venue space in Downtown Seattle, and a tiny pup named Daisy (my dog😉).
The Micro Wedding Venue: Sole Repair Shop
This venue in downtown Seattle specializes in weddings and other fun events for up to 150 people. The 2-story loft space is super unique. It was perfect for this retro style we wanted! I was actually supposed to photograph a wedding here before the pandemic changed my couple’s plans, so I was really drawn to this place for our styled micro wedding. I knew it would be perfect for putting this together, and I was right!
Vendors for this Styled Micro Wedding
The entire vendor team went all out to help my vision come to life. We created a ceremony and reception that has a modern retro vibe without screaming that we jumped way back in time. I loved getting to collaborate with all of these talented people!

Bringing the Vision to Life
After so long dreaming up this styled shoot, I couldn’t believe my eyes when it was all put together. One thing that I always feel is missing in styled shoots is the life that having guests adds to a wedding celebration. In order for this styled shoot to showcase all the things I wanted, we essentially threw a big fake wedding for Michaela and Adrianne! I am so thankful for the friends and fellow creatives that made this happen. It was a dream come true. 💛
Get this - one of my couples saw this post and hired me for their own retro 1970's wedding in Oregon. Check it out here!

I could not recommend all the vendors who helped me make this micro wedding happen enough! Did this styled shoot inspire you to create your own 1970s wedding or elopement? Reach out to me here! I'd be honored to photograph the occasion.
