This engagement session with Kristin and Jason was nothing short of perfection. As a Lavender Valley Farm engagement photographer, I knew this would be the perfect spot for their photos. Thankfully, Kristin and Jason were up for the adventure!
My husband Nathan and I actually spent a week at Hood River doing engagement sessions for my couples. Although it wasn’t easy, I really wanted to focus on the flower fields in peak bloom. Who wouldn’t want to be surrounded by beautiful, fragrant flowers for a few hours? Plus, you get amazing photos to go along with it. Sign me up!
After doing extensive research on all of our options, we reached out to various farms in the area. We ended up choosing to get a sunrise photos permit at the Hood River Lavender Valley Farm, which absolutely didn’t disappoint. We had two hours of exclusive access to the most fragrant and lovely lavender field I’ve ever seen, with the most expansive view of Mt. Hood. The combination of the lavender with the view of Mt. Hood in the background was unbeatable.
As you can see, Krisitn and Jason had an outfit change planned, which made the session even better. Once they changed, we got the warm glow that we were hoping would make an appearance. As the sun rose you could hear the bees start waking up and an overall loud hum that I’ve never heard before. Not one bee sting because they’re busy bees (haha get it?) loving their home.
