For Alyssa & David’s microwedding, they decided to have it at Namu Lodge in Leavenworth, WA and wow! This venue was spectacular. It was the perfect setting for their intimate, emotion-filled day.
The thing that stood out to me most on A & D’s day was there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. Even though there weren’t many people present at their microwedding, there definitely was no shortage of emotion. The love, joy, and tears shared for them was so incredibly sweet to see!
As you can see, Alyssa was as bubbly as could be while getting ready for her wedding. Fun fact: Alyssa’s nickname is actually Bee and has a tattoo of one on her arm. When her friend-turned florist had the opportunity to work with Alyssa for her wedding, she tucked a few tiny bees into her bouquet as a surprise. How sweet is that?
Before the wedding even started, we were greeted by early 2000’s pop punk and rock, so obviously we were stoked for that. Who wouldn’t like taking pictures while jamming out to Bowling For Soup in the background? To make things even better, the couple included their two adorable doggos, who joined us in the bride’s suite at Namu Lodge.
The Namu Lodge views
Once the ceremony started, I was amazed at the insane panoramic views A & D had as they promised their lives to each other. The area of Namu that their ceremony took place was overlooking the mountains in the most literal way possible. Even though we were tucked away, they were completely surrounding us! If you’re a lover of scenic views, I would definitely recommend checking out this venue.
Although Namu was a beautiful venue, you don’t have to have an epic location to receive epic wedding photos. What you do need is to trust your photographer! For example, Alyssa really wanted to take pictures near water, so I snuck them away for some portraits near the boat launch. They also wanted to get photos during their ceremony without all the guests watching them in the background, so guess what I did? I made that happen! The trust my couples put in me to capture their day how they want means so much to me.
