Kayla and Micah wanted a casual shoot to celebrate the newest addition to their sweet family. I got to meet him and I absolutely fell in love - featuring, the cutest, tiniest puppy, Mack! Everyone was (obviously) swooning over how adorable he was. But all he wanted was the ice cream they were holding - typical.

I met these three at Salt & Straw ice cream in Ballard - outside of Seattle, Washington. An urban area with lots of photo opportunities. I love doing engagement sessions in downtown settings because you never know what you're going to find. We enjoyed a scoop (or two) outside with their pup, then we were off to the beach.

This day was full of overcast skies and cold wind. But that didn't hold us back from playing on the beach and letting our toes touch the water. I love when I notice the switch and the couple I'm working with starts to relax in front of my camera. The shift is sometimes a night and day difference! All it takes is some trust and some time and we're golden.
