There is something special about coming together w There is something special about coming together with other creatives to build a world from imagination alone. Styled shoots are where ideas can stretch and breathe, where vendors get to explore the kind of beauty that does not need to fit into a wedding day timeline. It is play. It is art. It is community. - This Bridgerton inspired editorial at the Chateau Lill brought together so many talented hands and hearts. Pink and ivory drapery softly framing the dining area, a serpentine reception table winding through the space, and a meadow of wildflowers blooming right down the center. Every detail felt like a fresh interpretation of the venue, almost as if the space itself was part of the story. - Collaborative shoots like this remind me why I love working in the wedding world. When florists, planners, designers, and photographers and various other wedding vendors come together with a shared vision, something magic happens. Creativity expands. Inspiration grows. There are places that stay with you long after you There are places that stay with you long after you leave. California is one of those places for me. It is where I started my business and photographed some of my very first weddings. It’s where I learned how deeply I love this work. One of those early weddings was for a dear friend of this bride, and years later, at Danza Del Sol Winery for Aimmee’s celebration, it felt like life had quietly brought everything full circle. - There is something special about returning to the roots of your story. The familiar warmth, the color, the way the sun sits differently in the sky. Even though I live in Seattle now, California still feels like an early chapter that shaped everything that came after. - This day was photographed by my associate photographer Amanda whose heart for storytelling mirrors the intention behind everything we do. Cannon Beach has always been that place for me, and it was clear it holds the same kind of comfort for Mackenzie and Matthew. They chose to celebrate their step into marriage in the way that felt most true to them quietly, intentionally, and without any pressure to perform for anyone else. - It was just the two of them and my team with a camera, wandering along the coastline under a soft overcast sky. Lace gloves, an airy veil, the kind of muted light that lets every small moment feel tender and calm. Nothing rushed. Just a sweet afternoon with the person who feels like home. - We encourage our couples to choose whatever wedding experience feels right for them. Some want a room full of people cheering them on. Others want a slow morning and a quiet walk along the Oregon coast. It was designed around experience. They live on the East Coast but chose to get married in Washington because this would be the only time in their lives that all of their people would be together in one place. Family. Chosen family. Friends who do not leave the dance floor. Every decision they made reflected that intention. - They wrote personal notes to every guest and placed them at each setting. They saved two front row seats at their ceremony in honor of Casey’s parents. They created space in their timeline to slow down and take in each moment instead of racing through it. Their first look was full of joy, the kind that happens when you are fully yourself with your person. - This is what it looks like when a wedding day becomes a meaningful experience. This season has stretched me in ways I did not exp This season has stretched me in ways I did not expect. Photographing weddings while pregnant required more intention, more planning, and more strength than I have ever had to bring to my work. But it also reminded me why I love what I do. - There is something sacred about documenting people in emotional seasons of life. Promise. Growth. Transition. Becoming. Maybe that is why this work felt even more meaningful to me this year. I showed up to every wedding carrying new life, and instead of pulling me away from my purpose, it brought me closer to it. I felt it every time I pressed the shutter, every time I witnessed a quiet moment between loved ones, every time a story unfolded in front of me and I got to preserve it. - It is a vulnerable thing to share this. Not because pregnancy is fragile, but because I know how easily people assume your identity changes the moment you step into motherhood. My priorities are evolving, yes. But passion does not disappear when life expands. Creativity does not fade. Devotion to intentional storytelling does not weaken. I still care deeply about this work and always will. - To every couple who trusted me this year and made space for me in this season, I am grateful. Your kindness and support were never expected but truly felt. To my associate team, thank you for showing up with heart and excellence, for serving our couples with the same care I would, and for carrying the soul of this brand forward. I could not have done this year without you. - I am building both a family and a legacy of storytelling and I am proud of both. Stepping into motherhood is not the end of anything. The truth of a wedding day lives in the quiet spac The truth of a wedding day lives in the quiet spaces. - I photographed this wedding at one of my favorite wedding venues, Chateau Lill in Woodinville, WA. I worked under my friend Jaimie @ridgewoodfilms, and what I loved most was how present everyone was. Emotion threaded through the entire day. - Featured here are a few of my favorite moments: A father realizing his daughter has stepped into a new chapter of her life and feeling the weight of that moment settle in. Grandparents linking arms as they walked into cocktail hour. Friends wiping joyful tears from their eyes during vows. Champagne being poured while laughter echoed through the vineyard. Four little kids watching their parents dance and seeing love in motion. - These moments were not staged. They were witnessed. They are proof that a wedding is about more than a timeline or a pretty location. It is about the people who built your story with you. It is about connection. - That is why my team and I focus on storytelling wedding photography. The in between moments matter.
