Return clients are the best clients. To me, that means we had such a good connection the first time around, they’ve come back for more! Plus, having already gotten comfortable with each other, it helps to make your photos more candid. Riley loved my style of classic wedding photography, which is what encouraged her to hire me in the first place when she and Elliott came out to the Pacific Northwest for their engagement shoot. We got the dreamiest Oregon coast engagement portraits. And you know I love an Oregon Coast engagement shoot!
Classic Wedding Photography in Evansville, Indiana
When wedding plans started, Riley invited me and Nathan of Ochoa Wedding Films to come out for their wedding in Evansville, Indiana at the stunning venue Comfort by the Cross-Eyed Cricket. Such a charming place! Nestled along the banks of the Ohio River, Evansville, Indiana, is so picturesque for couples seeking a charming wedding destination. With its blend of historic charm and modern amenities, Evansville is a hidden gem! It has elegant downtown spaces perfect for classic wedding photography. Not to mention, it is so friendly, has delicious food, and truly is such a great spot for any wedding or event. On Riley and Elliott’s wedding day, the pride parade for Evansville was going on right outside their getting ready rooms! So fun!
Trip within a Destination Wedding
Something I recommend to wedding vendors or people traveling for weddings, is to make a family trip of it! We took a family vacation to Chicago before heading over to Indiana for Riley and Elliott’s big day. Of course, it was a nice little retreat in the middle of wedding season.
Cool Spots for Classic Wedding Photography
I love to incorporate spaces that are meaningful to my couples. While the architecture of Riley and Elliott’s venue created a great backdrop, we also went across the street to shoot in the coffee shop where they had their first date. I know these photos will be so meaningful to them because of their nostalgia. Plus, they give a unique backdrop that you won’t see in every other classic wedding photography album!
As always, want to give all the shout outs to the vendors who made this day possible! Brittany Events Co helped the day run so smoothly.
Uniquely Michaels created the stunning florals.
The bride’s outfit wasn’t complete without a gown from Vow’d Weddings, accessories from Elle Park Bridal, and a belt from Sara Gabriel Designs. Hair and makeup styled the look by Roots Hair Studio.
And the groom looked sharp in a suit from Ted Baker, and tie from DAZI.
