Finding the perfect engagement session location for a woodsy couples session Tacoma Photographer isn't too difficult to find in the PNW. Surrounded by greenery, you don't have to look far to find the perfect nook or landscape for your session.

I took these two to Point Defiance in Tacoma, WA. We spent some time at the parking lot at Owen Beach, then drove around to various spots we came across as we took the five-mile drive through the park.

I absolutely love the contrast of red against the deep forest green that the PNW has to offer. I love exploring new areas and my recent move to Seattle, WA has allowed me to explore like I never have before. Constantly checking out new hiking spots, popular spots, and finding my own hidden gems along the way.

The ultimate goal I have for couples sessions is to help bring out their personalities. It's totally awkward to have a camera all up in your face - I get it. And I know that each couple is nervous when we first start out. That's why I pose with that in mind! I start by keeping things simple, calm, cool, and collected. When I start teaching all of my tips and tricks posing wise, after about 20 minutes the couple will start to relax and feel more at ease! That truly is when the magic starts to happen.

This woodsy couples session features a sweet couple from Tacoma - and a killer red dress. The overcast skies and the slight bit of rain didn't faze us. We were excited to embrace the dark and moody vibes, wherever the weather wanted to take us.
