Tina and Nathaniel's Lone Point Cellars wedding was incredibly special, because they included their kids as the primary part of their wedding day. From the getting-ready photos to the first bites of cake at the reception, T & N's kids were so involved. You can see from the photos that the couple are so in love, and it's magical to see that love for their children, too!
Oftentimes, wedding guests tell me about photographers who take couples away for two (or more) hours post-ceremony, just for wedding portraits! Honestly, I'm not one to do that. I prefer to spread out the photo times over the course of the day. T & N didn't want a first look, but they did want to pray together. So, we set them up back-to-back to give them that private moment with one another. We didn't want to spoil the first look at the altar! I coordinated with the lovely Kat, from Flowing White Events, to carve out time for wedding party and family photos before the ceremony. After the ceremony, we arranged a 30-60 minute session for large groups and just the couple. Clearly, we took plenty of photos without spending two hours away from the guests!
A Magical Sunset
When we're lucky, the sunsets in Washington turn everything golden. The sunset for T & N's Lone Point Cellars wedding evening was straight magic. T & N knew that if the lighting got really good, we'd pop out for 5-10 minutes during dinner or dancing. Even though it may seem like ten minutes isn't enough time, anyone who's worked with me knows I'm wicked fast at getting great shots in a short amount of time. We don't always get super colorful sunsets in Washington, but when we do, my couples are ready to hop out for five minutes of photos. I love it!!
The Lone Point Cellars vineyard, only a 3.5-hour drive east of Seattle, was the perfect backdrop for T & N's wedding. It was so special to be involved in making sure that the couple's kids were the focus of the day, and to capture those incredible family memories.
