All of the heart, soul, and love was poured into Neah and Shawn’s wedding day. Ten years led to this moment, and the weather had a typical PNW moment. Raindrops arrived right as the ceremony began, and everyone leaned in together. Guests shared umbrellas, ceremony continued as planned, and the joy in the air made it feel cozy rather than chaotic. By evening the clouds opened, the fields warmed, and we ran outside for sun-kissed portraits that felt like a reward for the wait. If you want a taste of the season that led up to this day, peek at our Spring 2025 recap.
Genesis Farm and Garden Wedding
Genesis Farm & Garden Weddings is a dream for couples who love nature and thoughtful design. The grounds offer open lawn, winding paths, and pockets of shade that photograph beautifully in any weather. It gave us room to pivot with the rain and still capture the soft light after sunset.
Wedding Vendors that Pivot
Neah and Shawn wanted a celebration that felt easy, colorful, and welcoming. Once the rain began, their families rallied with laughter and towels, and the planning team, lead by Elevated Events by Tosha, shifted the timeline so the flow stayed smooth. By golden hour, Mother Nature gave us a soft burst of light. With Nathan on video and me on photo, we absolutely helped to keep the day flowing smoothly despite the weathers temperament.
Unique Aspect of the Ceremony
In true garden wedding fashion at Genesis Farm and Garden, our couple planted a tree in the middle of their ceremony. It was such a cool and special aspect of the ceremony. I love when my couples choose to add things to their day that are unique and meaningful to who they are and their story. Your day doesn’t have to be all tradition.
The vendor team really helped to make this day the best it could be. Besides those already mentioned, we had a stellar team on beauty from Wedding Hair by Rhianna and I.M Artistry on makeup.
Karrie Michelle Floral design did an absolutely stunning job with the colorful florals that complemented the garden space.
And where would we be without an amazing dance party orchestrated by DJ Chardonnay.

Days like this remind me why I love wedding stories. A little rain, a lot of heart, and a golden finish that felt meant to be. If you are planning a celebration at Genesis Farm & Garden Weddings or anywhere in Washington and want photos filled with color, laughter, and good energy, I would love to connect.
