If you’ve spent any time reading my blogs or following along on social media, then you know I love an Oregon Coast wedding! So when our friend Ridgewood Films asked both Nathan and I to join her team for a joint video and photo wedding, we were all about it. Ended up being a bit of an adventure with flying down to mid-Oregon, driving 4 hours, shooting the wedding the next day, then driving 4 hours back after the wedding and getting on a plane at 5am so Jaimie could make it to her wedding in Seattle the next day! As you’ll see, the whirlwind was worth it for some STUNNING golden hour photos.
Crook Point Oregon Wedding
Emily and Dylan traveled from out of state, having adventured on the West coast in the past and fell in love with the nature and beauty. They decided to bring their wedding out to an area they couldn’t wait to show their friends and family. Of course, Crook Point really showed up for them! The grounds themselves are stunning with typical Pacific Northwest forest looking out over the ocean. The boys spent the morning down on the beach, running through the waves and enjoying the sun. The girls had a beautiful getting ready home with 180 views of the ocean.
Stunning Wedding Details
Perhaps my favorite part of the details of this day was Emily’s dress. One of the dresses from Rue de Seine‘s stunning line. It had wide, draping sleeves that attached after the dress was on and an intricate veil with embroidery. Rue de Seine always makes unique and amazing gowns, but they can be pricey so we don’t get to see them very often. Having Emily use one was such a highlight from the day.
In addition to that, we had Bixby + Pine as the planners, designers, and florists and they created a fun tablescape with pink and peach accents alongside a lot of natural textures. Emily and Dylan included custom chopsticks for everyone which complimented the local Thai food they brought in for dinner.
Whirlwind Wedding
What was truly a whirlwind wedding was also such a fun experience. Getting to work with a friend, capture the most stunning of golden hours, photograph a Rue de Seine dress in the wild, worth it! I look forward to the next wedding on the Oregon Coast or even at Crook Point. Though, this time, I’ll give myself a little more time to enjoy the travel.
