Courthouse Elopement Photographer

Kendyl and Evan chose me as their courthouse elopement photographer. They got married at the Laguna Hills Courthouse. Specifically, the Civic Center. These two were surrounded by their family members and a couple of their closest friends.

Kendyl wore a non-traditional black and white dress that fit perfectly with their non-traditional wedding day. I’m all about celebrating what’s unique about each couple. I’m delighted that I was able to be a part of this special moment and document these precious memories for them.

The ceremony was quick, intimate and absolutely beautiful. The room was very small so, to be honest, we definitely felt a little like sardines. But it was 100% worth it to this family to be right there with them during their ceremony. To witness a moment like this is unforgettable. The closeness you felt with the couple was really so special.

I used the family list we curated together before the big day and quickly took some family photos. We were able to capture all of the variations the couple had wanted in an orderly and effective fashion, my specialty. The family then left to their dinner reception in Laguna Beach.

Instead of heading straight to dinner, I took the cute couple on a detour for some additional photos. We went to their absolute favorite cove for some sunset portraits. We went to the place where Evan first asked Kendyl to be his girlfriend. And also where he proposed. We decided that it only made sense that this is the place where they wanted to spent part of their wedding day, too.

As always, I carved out some time for the two of them to spend a few quiet moments together. I believe that couples should be able to slow down. Even on elopement days. Otherwise it can feel like such a whirlwind of an event.

We event set up a moment to have their first dance as the ocean water came in and rolled over their toes. AH – talk about romantic.
