WithinSodo Wedding Photographer. Let me just say this… I wouldn’t mind spending all of my weekends at WithinSodo. Any day I get to document love stories is a good day. But at this venue? UGH. LOVE.
WithinSodo is a local industrial wedding venue just outside of downtown Seattle. Recently, they held an open house featuring local wedding vendors. I was the primary photographer featured that evening. The premise is having the vendors create a styled shoot earlier in the day. Later in the evening, the open house officially begins. Couples who are either considering or have already booked the venue start to arrive. Events like this gives them the opportunity to personally connect with all the vendors involved.
As these couples walk through, they’re given some tasty apps and a beverage. In turn, we were able to show them all how we chose to utilize the space. Hopefully, demonstrating what their wedding could potentially look like in this venue. The versatility of WithinSodo is unlike other venues I’ve seen. If you couldn’t already tell – I’m kinda obsessed.
I love collaborating with other vendors on styled shoots. Especially when we can open the flood gates and all get the chance to showcase our talents.
A quick encouragement: Your wedding day can be whatever you want it to be.
I have a tip for you when it comes to decor elements. Create a design based on an overall “vibe” and what really speaks to you. Step outside of the world of Pinterest. The results can be absolutely stunning. For this elopement styled shoot, we decided to create a celestial wedding celebration at WithinSodo.
If you’ve been following my work for a while, you know that for styled shoots, I prefer to not work with professional models. I like to choose a real couple to join us. Typically, I will do that by setting up a model call on my Instagram. No modeling experience is ever required!
My preference is to keep posing and interactions as organic and as real as possible. Photographing a real couple helps the photos to feel more genuine. As well as providing the couple with a really unique and fun date night experience.
At TMinspired, we’re all about The Experience.
Par and John were the lucky cuties who joined us. The theme of the shoot was to give all the celestial vibes. Par wore a gorgeous rhinestone gown by Willowby. Around sunset, we went up to the rooftop of the venue. She was literally glowing in the sunlight. Isn’t it perfect??
An up-and-coming florist, Brett, did a fantastic floral installation for the ceremony altar. He paired together flowers that I personally have never seen blended together before. I loved his take on the theme and how he rolled with it. Using soft candlelight and tying together the design throughout the space, he took the moody and romantic vibes into the dinning room. Inspiring.
This styled elopement has been featured on Apple Brides Magazine.
The centerpiece of our sweetheart table was filled with natural elements. Beautiful moss covered branches that stopped me in my tracks. I love when the design gets a little witchy. This star and moon concept styled shoot was the perfect place to do this. Kate from Tapestry Event Co totally nailed my vision.
The concept of the celestial shoot was beautifully tied together with our desserts. Created by Alpenglow Baking Company and 100% delicious. The night sky design for the cake was out of this world. (See what I did there?) A dark cake like this is such a bold choice that I would love to see at more weddings.
Getting married at WithinSodo and need a photographer? Look no further, I’m your girl.
