Hiring a Seattle Proposal Photographer is the first step to making the magic happen.
When it comes to choosing the perfect spot to propose in Seattle, it’s worth considering the vibe that you want to be surrounded by. Are you looking for a breathtaking nature-esque spot? A location with a really great view of the city skyline? Maybe something more adventurous, or featuring an activity that you two like to do together. Maybe you want the space to be simple because you’re planning to elevate it with some type of decor setup. Or possibly the choice is based on what could be the most private, in case you’re soon-to-be-fiance is a little shy. Whichever way you go, just know that you can’t really go wrong in a place as beautiful as Seattle, WA.
Having an expert on your side through this important decision is a game changer. Let us focus on the logistics so you can focus on the secret you have to keep. We can help organize additional vendors, handle permits if a location requires it, keep an eye on the weather and prepare you in advanced as needed. And, of course, capturing the moment itself.

Seattle Proposal Photographer
Kerry Park
I’m going to start with the fan favorite, the perfect drive up spot with a view: Kerry Park. This location is great rain or shine, I’ve literally photographed proposals here in every season. In the spring when the cherry blossoms are blooming, as well as in the snow.
It’s important to keep in mind that this is not a secret spot. Which means it can be an incredibly busy selfie-spot for tourists, too. Having your photographer out of view isn’t usually possible – however it IS easy to blend in as a tourist, too. ;)

Can you tell that we’re at Kerry Park a lot? I mean, how can you resist a view like that? But wait, THERE’S MORE. There are so many other options in the Seattle area. You can start at Kerry Park and drive off to one of these other spaces for your proposal, or if Kerry Park isn’t the vibe – go straight to one of these spots instead!
Pike Place Market
I wouldn’t be a Seattle Proposal Photographer if I didn’t include Pike Place Market. Capturing a proposal at Pike Place Market requires more than just a camera – it requires insider knowledge. Understanding the market’s ebbs and flows, knowing the best times to capture intimate shots without the crowds, and seizing iconic Pike Place spots.
From here, you can walk down to the pier and see the great wheel, or stay up in the more urban spaces among the shops and restaurants of downtown Seattle.

If you want an urban vibe without being this close to Pike Place, we can explore neighborhoods like Ballard, Queen Anne, Capitol Hill, etc. Honestly, the options are endless.
But you don’t have to feel overwhelmed. That’s why you’re hire an expert Seattle Photographer to help you plan it all out. Contact me today to get started!

Gas Works Park
A massive, 19.1-acre public park on the site of the former Seattle Gas Light Company gasification plant. Gas Works Park is known for its iconic Seattle skyline view, this can be a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. However it does make for a pretty cool place to propose, and to take wedding photos, too.

Golden Gardens
If you’re interested in a proposal location with a water feature, Washington offers an array of breathtaking options. Golden Gardens Park is north of the city right on the water.
Golden Gardens has this GLOW about it that is truly golden in the summer.

Discovery Park
The beaches here in Washington have tons of interesting things to explore. At a place like Discovery Park, there are hikes among the trees and cliff sides. Down on the beach you’ll find driftwood, rock formations, even a lighthouse! A place like this has limited drive up parking options so it’s more of a date-day adventure, with a Seattle proposal photographer to show you all the great spots for photos along the way.

West Seattle
Another skyline view opportunity is heading over to West Seattle. What’s fun is you can make an afternoon of it, take the water taxi from downtown and pop over to West Seattle for an iconic view (and a casual lunch or shaved ice at Marination Ma Kai!). You can also head over to one of my favorite locations, Lincoln Park for secluded, “deep in the woods” kinda vibes.

Consider choosing an indoor location for your proposal!
Whether it’s the winter weather keeping you inside, or the idea of proposing at your favorite date night spot. There are plenty of spaces where we could seek permission for your perfect proposal.
If you want a more private indoor option instead of a restaurant. Consider reaching out to these small venues: Court in the Square (featured below), Sole Repair Shop, Hotel Sorrento, Corson Building, Almquist Winery, Volunteer Park Conservatory greenhouse.
There are plenty to choose from, but be sure to always ask for permission and be ready to pay a permit fee if you want to be able to use the space! Your Seattle proposal photographer can help you plan this out. (Contact me today!)

Make it a whole experience by proposing at a winery
If you don’t mind the drive, you can reach out to wineries in Woodinville like the Chateau Lill, Chateau St. Michelle (featured below), Novelty Hill-Januik Winery, and JM Cellars.

Look for the gardens
These spaces are public but some venues allow you to carve out a somewhat-private space. If you want a greenhouse consider Bella Luna Farms. You can also reach out to Lakewold Gardens or Thornewood Castle to utilize their Secret English Garden. If you don’t mind proposing in the public, the Woodland Park Rose Garden is lovely (the photo below are from a wedding that happened at the rose garden are just somethin’ else entirely – gorgeous)

Washington Park Arboretum
Honestly the Washington Park Arboretum is so massive, it’s hard to know where to start. It also requires a permit no matter where you shoot, so it’s best to team up with your photographer to figure out the best spot. The location below is called the Woodland Garden.
