As a wedding photographer based here in Seattle, I often compare it to my time as a photographer in California and Oregon. Honestly, it’s pretty much impossible to narrow it down to just one thing that I love most about Seattle! Seattle is a city that’s captured my heart from day one, and photographing weddings here feels like I’m constantly exploring a magical playground. Endless Location Choices
One of the things I love most about being a Seattle wedding photographer is the versatility we have here. Of course, Downtown Seattle gives off those unmistakably cool urban vibes. Pike Place Market, with its bustling energy and vibrant colors, is iconic for a reason! Whether it’s grabbing a shot of you sharing coffee at your favorite date-night café or capturing spontaneous laughter on the ferry to Bainbridge (check out this Bainbridge ferry elopement), Seattle truly has everything.
If you want eclectic city vibes then we’ll head to a rooftop parking garage or Kerry Park to embrace that gorgeous skyline view. Craving nature? Seattle is just a short drive from mountain tops, rainforests, and beaches. As a photographer who thrives on capturing authentic moments, the ability to choose from so many locations is a dream.
Embracing the Seasons & All Their Colors
The Pacific Northwest has taught me how to love every kind of weather. Rain or shine (or even snow!), each season here brings its own unique magic. There’s something wonderfully romantic about photographing a couple in the rain, especially when the clouds part to gift us with rainbows. Or picture cozying up with your person for a winter engagement session, the snow gently falling around you.
Did I mention the colors? Thanks to our seasons, Seattle explodes with color. Deep greens and wildflowers transform each session into something amazing. I’m constantly blown away by our talented local florists who craft wedding bouquets straight from their gardens—it’s as magical as it sounds.

Being a Seattle Wedding Photographer Feels Like Home
Though I technically grew up in the Portland, Oregon area and spent significant time in Southern California (where I met my wonderful husband!), Seattle has truly become home for me. After getting married ourselves, my husband and I ventured to Seattle for a new chapter. It was here that I poured my heart into building my photography business, determined to pursue what I love full-time.
This city has undeniably won my heart. No place is perfect, of course, but Seattle has felt right since the moment we arrived. It’s more than just a beautiful backdrop for weddings. It’s the community, the quirky charm, the nature, and the endless inspiration. Wherever life takes us in the future, Seattle will forever hold a cherished place in my story.
