Welcome

So glad you found us.

Your note is in our inbox and a real reply is coming within 24 hours. Check your spam folder if it goes quiet, sometimes we end up there.

What our first reply will include

We know most people want numbers before anything else, so our first email covers the practical things up front: whether we’re available for your date, where our collections begin, and answers to whatever you asked.

From there, we’ll walk you through what comes next. Most of the couples we work with have never hired a wedding photographer before, and they shouldn’t have to arrive knowing how any of this works. That’s our job. Whether things come together over email or you’d rather talk it through on a call, we’ll lay out the steps clearly at each point so there’s never a moment of wondering what happens now.

While you wait

If you reached out about a wedding, our investment page gives you a feel for how our collections work: where they begin, what most couples invest, and what a full day with us includes. Our galleries show how full wedding days unfold, well beyond the handful of frames that fit on Instagram. And if you’re still choosing a venue, this guide is where we’d start.

If you’ve reached out about a proposal, family session, or something else entirely, the galleries are still the best place to get a feel for how we shoot. The rest we’ll cover by email.

The short version of who you just emailed

We’ve been photographing love stories since 2012. We shoot documentary first, which means we spend the day noticing instead of directing. Our lead photographer collections include 35mm film, a handful of frames that feel less like documentation and more like memory. And when a date calls for one of our associate photographers, that person was trained by us and matched to you on purpose, not pulled from a roster.

That’s the shape of it. The rest unfolds one clear step at a time.

Taylor

Nobody wanted to sit down. The dance floor was on Nobody wanted to sit down.

The dance floor was on the water, the skyline was doing its thing behind them, and their favorite people showed up ready to celebrate. A day like this feels like a reunion first and a wedding second.

Kendra and JC’s wedding was unmistakably theirs. Those are the weddings we love the most.

As wedding photographers, we spend most of the day directing and then the rest of the day anticipating. We are always reading the room, watching for what might happen, and making sure we are in position when it does. The blurred photo is one of our favorite frames from the night, and it was not on anyone’s shot list.

Intention. The word a lot of our couples use to de Intention. The word a lot of our couples use to describe their plan for their wedding day. They want to be intentional about the details, the flow and the experience of their guests. They want to fuse in moments and little details that celebrate their love story and this next chapter.

And they want a photographer who approaches their day with intention, too.

To anticipate moments, to be intentional in composition, lighting, angles and storytelling. To guide and direct a wedding day without overstepping, allowing real moments to unfold. To celebrate trends and styles but will choose to put more emphasis on what will be timeless.

Wedding photos are the first heirlooms you will pass down to the next generations. Let us celebrate that with the intentionality you deserve.

STORY TIME 14 years ago, I photographed my first STORY TIME

14 years ago, I photographed my first solo wedding.

I was 20 years old and had 2 years of wedding experience, but never as a lead. The clients knew this, agreed to this, and I charged them $500 for a full 8 hour day (just so it wasn’t “free”)

And in the end… they hated the photos.

The bride described herself as very expressive. Asked for multiple re-edits, expected photos we did not discuss prior (They were not industry standard photos, but my inexperience showed in how I handled her expectations), and nearly asked for a refund.

I almost quit wedding photography all together.

Maybe I wasn’t cut out for this.

But I persevered and I’m so glad I did. My second couple was an absolute BLESSING. Their wedding was the experience I once wished I had instead for the start of my career.

But now I think otherwise.

There is no way to redo a wedding and I’ve never taken that lightly. For years, I felt shame over these photos.

But I have a new understanding of it all now and appreciate how much I’ve grown.

I actually think I did a pretty good job, too, all things considered (shall I list all the things I had to pivot through, like my 2nd photographer I hired to help me who left during dinner without notice??)

I’m sad that they were unhappy, but I’m still grateful for the experience.

This is a passion that runs so deep that even when I crashed and burned that first time, I got up and did it again.

I worked harder, communicated better, became more prepared.

I learned from every lesson in which I failed.

A lot of my journey has been exciting. But most of it hasn’t been easy… it’s been earned.

I love this industry down to my bones.

Now, when June 23rd rolls around, I’m not haunted by the memories of failure. Instead, I’m reminded of the resilience I see in this industry, and also in myself. 💛
