Chateau Lill wedding venue in Woodinville, Washington, has been on my bucket list for a while! So when a good friend of mine, Ridgewood Films, asked me to second shoot, I was so excited! It has all the old-world charm you’d want from a European-inspired wedding venue, complete with charming vines out back and a grove of trees. There are so many perfect spots for portraits.
Chateau Lill Wedding Venue
One of the many perks of Chateau Lill as a wedding venue is its ideal location. Set in the heart of Woodinville, near all the tasting rooms and wineries, its atmosphere is intimate, cozy, and elegant. The staff at Chateau Lill are so warm and welcoming, and they feel like they are a part of the team of vendors hired by couples. That’s not always the case with venue staff so I appreciated them so much!
Next, Chateau Lill has many options for different parts of a couple’s day. There are two spaces for getting ready, which are both so full of charm and moody light that they’re great for photographers. Also, when choosing a ceremony spot, couples have several options. They can get married in the meadow, surrounded by trees, or inside in front of the fireplace. Both are great options. For cocktail hour, couples can choose to set up by the gazebo next to the pond, in the barrel room downstairs, or on the lawn closer to the venue itself.
Dinner takes place under their tent set up during wedding season, and then dancing and cake happen inside with easy access out to the tent for those that prefer to stay in a quieter area to chat instead of dance.
Sweet Couple Chooses Chateau Lill
Our couple for the wedding day at Chateau Lill was so sweet. From the moment of arrival, the mood was jovial and relaxed. The bridal parties were kind and hilarious (even with a couple of the girls pregnant!). We kept the timeline on track as we carried throughout the day, giving the sweethearts time to enjoy each moment.
A couple of unique things that they incorporated were communion during their ceremony and a fun lantern send-off at the end of the night. At the ceremony, there was much laughter and tears from both the bride and groom and guests. That sort of thing always makes me tear up, too!
Overall, it was a great day at Chateau Lill for a wedding. With moody, cloudy, typical Seattle weather, we had the perfect light for portraits. It made the backdrop for this old-world charmed wedding pure magic.
