Anna and Kevin described their wedding vision as if Gatsby and James bond had a baby. I LOVED this description, and was so glad when Anna chose me as their photographer and my husband Nathan as their videographer. She said my work had an ethereal quality which matched perfectly with all their wedding locations and the overall vibe. Elegance and romance and the roaring 20’s all came together to give the best kind of inspiration for their wedding day. And on top of all of that, their good friends David and Austin highly recommended us. These two also own the DJ company Orion Entertainment and paused groomsman duties to entertain the guests!
Wedding Photography Review
Anna’s words after I delivered the gallery are ones I still return to, because they were so intentional and sweet:
YOU TWO.
– Anna
WOW.
We have had a crazy week so we finally just had some real time to see our photos and sneak peak and… there are no words.
You two are incredible at what you do. Yes, your sense of lighting and timing are insane, but most of all, you captured US.
Seeing all of this on our two month anniversary has been truly special. I am hoping whatever review process you have for your website allows for a 30 page dissertation on how much we love you.
It was an honor to have our love captured by such a wonderful couple in their own love.
Everything is amazing and HOT DAMN- we look GOOD.
Thank you SO MUCH a million times over. We cannot wait to work with you again if ever the opportunity arises. You are truly wonderful.
All the Best Wedding Locations
The wedding party started their day at the romantic and beautiful Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle. With it’s old world charm and ethereal details, it was the perfect spot to capture everyone getting ready AND the most epic first look on the stairs. With everyone onlooking, the moment was tender and perfect.
From there, we did bridal party portraits at Gas Works Park which is a sentimental location for Anna and Kevin. Since the area is so open, it can be tricky working in direct light but we made it work, and got to show of Lake Union which glittered in the light.
Afterwards, we went on to the ceremony location at the rose garden at Woodland Park Zoo. There, we did couples portraits which completely drew out all the romance and ethereal vibes of the day. Anna’s lace dress complemented the surroundings perfectly. And the ceremony went off without a hitch, and included Anna and Kevin performing a song together. The whole affair was super sweet!
And, of course, we ended the night at the Imperia Lake Union which is situated in former historic Lake Union Café. Originally built in 1927 and converted to an event venue over 20 years ago. A 6,000 square foot private event space overlooking Lake Union from the Eastlake neighborhood of Seattle, Imperia features 10-foot chandeliers, copper ceilings, a built-in dance floor, gourmet menus, incredible staff, and so much more. With a Roaring 20’s Art-Deco vibe and a rumored history of being a prohibition-era speakeasy, it was everything Anna and Kevin wanted for the wedding of their dreams.
All the Best Vendors
I’ve already mentioned some of the vendors that made this stunning day possible! But I’m so glad that Anna looked at my recommended vendor list for her hair and make up artist Sarah Ren Makeup and Hair.
And, Perfectly Paired Sisters helped to coordinate the day and make it possible!
