Since adding associates to my team in 2020, TMinsp Since adding associates to my team in 2020, TMinspired Photography has been able to accommodate 3x the amount of weddings celebrations. 🥹

Especially in the PNW, our wedding season is VERY condensed. Compared to SoCal, which has a longer wedding season since they have better weather for much longer than we do. 😂
-
I can only be in so many places at once. (Well, one place, obvi haha.) So the fact that I can now rely on a team of trusted photographers to work on my behalf + rock a wedding day as thoughtfully as I would, has been an absolute GAME CHANGER.
-
I’m so grateful for the couples who trust in my team to document their most precious memories. All we want to do is document love stories so the fact that my business can do MORE of that makes my heart feel so full. 🥹💛

✨ Are you still looking for a photographer to capture your best day ever for a fall/winter wedding in 2022 or for your 2023 date? (Anywhere in the states and especially along the west coast: WA, OR, CA + AZ) We would love to be considered.

🥳 TEN YEARS. 🥳 - Ten years ago today, I phot 🥳 TEN YEARS. 🥳
-
Ten years ago today, I photographed my very first wedding as a lead photographer.
-
To be completely honest? It ended up being a terrible experience. One that almost lead me to quit photography all together.
-
I thought today would be a good day to summarize the story because I never have publicly before. 🙈
-
Psst! Swipe to see some photos from my first wedding. ✨🤗
-
I was in over my head with little experience to have the sole responsibility. I took on the lead role sooner than I should’ve. I was being mentored by a wedding photographer and had assisted a few weddings prior. But only a few. I barely knew how to use my camera and had only lead a few sessions with my friends + family. Definitely not the experienced required for the role a wedding day needs.
-
I relied too much on my second photographer. I had a more experienced 2nd, but she had to leave halfway through and left me hanging to fend for myself. Shit happens but this was NOT the day for me to manage that, haha.
-
The excitement for my first wedding overruled my caution. Miscommunications happened from the start. I had a contract, and openly shared with the couple that it was my first wedding, etc. All the things you should do. But post-processing was not discussed and a few mishaps day-of lead to disappointment.
-
I did it for free. I didn’t charge them anything. You would think that there would be extra grace and the knowledge that there is room for improvement, but for some reason when you charge zero dollars and zero cents for your services, you’re less appreciated. Other business owners might have similar stories and it’s super weird.
