Photos of a couple on their wedding day vs. photos Photos of a couple on their wedding day vs. photos of their dog 😍✨ #tiktoktrends #weddingphotographer #strangerthingscapcut #seattleweddingphotographer #dogsofinstagram #weddingphotos #tminspiredphotography
What I’ve learned since starting my photography What I’ve learned since starting my photography business at 18 years old:
-
I will always be learning, growing, evolving, and creating. ✨ Pushing myself creatively can be exciting, not scary. Learning to love people well and meeting them where they’re at will always be a priority of mine. 💛
-
I will fail sometimes simply because I’m human - and that’s okay. Finding supportive communities both in and out of the wedding world is critical for my mental health.
-
I’ve learned what burnout looks like and it sucks. 🤦🏻‍♀️ But I’ve also learned what self care actually means to me. I’m still learning about what that balance looks like. Regardless, the journey will keep going, and my place in this world will always be valuable. Prioritizing myself, too, is important. 🥰
-
The way I capture stories is unlike anyone else. Similarly, I cannot capture stories exactly like someone else. As hard as it is to not compare the two, I’ve learned (and continue to learn) to lean into ME and my own magic. 🪄✨ Embracing that has let me and my work flourish.
-
✨The only limits that exist are the limits I put on myself.✨
-
P.S. thanks to my friend + associate @mirageandlight for this BTS of me and @nathanochoa. Luckily our height difference works out for us on wedding days, minus my sky high top knot. 😂

YOUR WORDS MATTER. - I did this the last couple of YOUR WORDS MATTER.
-
I did this the last couple of years and I wanna do it again. Have a sec?
-
I could talk about and describe my work all day but what I am always intrigued by is how YOU would describe my work. Using these words in my marketing and blogging is so helpful because it helps me “get” the vibe you’re getting from me.
-
✨ Here’s where I need help:
-
Friends, family, clients, potential clients: What 4 words would you use to describe my work?
-
Thanks in advanced. 🤗💛

Always working on pushing myself out of my comfort Always working on pushing myself out of my comfort zone. ✨
-
Events are really tough for me. I’m an introvert, so it’s difficult to step into conversations, meet new people, and can easily be overstimulated by a big event.
-
So here I am at an event, with lots of people I don’t know and the intention to mingle. 😅
-
Oh and also I don’t drink alcohol so I’m 100% stone cold sober 100% of the time. 🙈 Perf.
-
You might be thinking: but Taylor, you’re a wedding photographer. You step into conversations with strangers and are around big events LITERALLY 👏🏻 ALL 👏🏻 THE 👏🏻 TIME.
-
But it’s actually way different when I’m working an event vs. attending one. I can’t hide behind my camera, it’s just me. And after a wedding? I’m similarly drained. It’s just more expected and understood.
-
Introvert photographers, raise your hand if you feel the same. 🙋🏻‍♀️
-
Luckily, for this event, I was with Nathan, my true extrovert, who makes everything in my life easier, lol.
-
And also? @gianevents knows how to throw a damn good party. There were interactive food options like a s’mores bar (my fave), live music with flamingo showgirls 💃🏻 and even a space dedicated to tarot readings.
-
Your girl was taken care of for sure.
Every year, @seattlebridemag hosts this competitio Every year, @seattlebridemag hosts this competition and gathers votes to determine the "best of" each wedding vendor category. Voting is now OPEN until February 9th, 2023.
-
My name is in the running for the title, Best Photographer of 2023! 🥳
-
When voting is closed and the ballots are read, they host a big celebration where they officially announced all of the winners! What an absolute honor it would be to be chosen as Seattle Bride Magazine best photographer 2023. Previously, I've been featured in TWO ISSUES of Seattle Bride Magazine. It literally feels like a dream come true to see my work in print.
-
I'm so grateful for the opportunity to share the love stories I document, and to have them recognized in such a popular magazine is an indescribable feeling!
-
I have had the honor to work with MANY talented Seattle-based wedding vendors. I understand that every vote counts. With that, I want to ensure that you can fill out multiple categories on this list to help support the incredible business owners to deserve the recognition and celebration too! I am always one to want to share the love!
-
But if you want to skip that and simply vote for me as best photographer and Nathan for best videographer, you can absolutely do that too.
-
Check out my guide to voting for Seattle Bride Magazine's Best of 2023, now on my blog! 💛✨🤗

As a photographer, we need to be ready for anythin As a photographer, we need to be ready for anything. Yes, we can help direct and give guidance to posing. We can set up “first looks” for the best angle and lighting, but allowing the moment to unfold naturally from there is the key.
-
We’re not here to try to MAKE a moment happen or to force emotions. But document the moments that happen fluidly? Our specialty.
-
Some of the best moments are captured when we simply take a step back and anticipate what might happen. ✨
-
Both moms seeing the bride for the first time. A quiet moment full of endless awe during a first look of the couple. The kids dropping the dogs leash while walking down the aisle. A genuine “we did it” after being announced married at the end of the ceremony. A flower girl giving a rose to mom in the audience. The ombre look of the bottom of the wedding gown, showing that you did your day right 😏 lol. Gentle hand-holding, unique to each couple. The flower girl deciding to dance and giggle in a circle around the couple during their first dance. Smushes and kisses for their sweet doggo.
-
10 moments. 40% guided. 100% anticipated.
-
We can plan and plan and plan. But at the end of the day, we don’t quite know what might happen on your wedding day, and that, to me, is so exciting. 💛
-
IG limiting me to just 10 photos is crazy. Want me to keep going and share more candid photos like these? Let me know! 🤗
