“But wait, what if I don’t know how to pose?” - That’s not a problem you need to worry about, boo. You’ve hired the expert. 🤗 - Here are 3 reasons why you can let that fear go when you hire me: - 1. My goal for your gallery is to capture who YOU are and how you interact together. If you overthink it, it’ll show. I’ll give you guidance instead of very strict posing. This lets you sink into each moment. - 2. The first 20 minutes? Yes, you’ll probably feel awkward. It’s totally expected because you don’t do this everyday like I do. 😂 I pose with that awkward-feeling in mind. After about 20 minutes you’ll be more used to my dumb jokes, have seen some photos from the back of my camera to build ✨confidence✨ and will start to relax into the process. This is when the magic happens. - 3. Pretend that I’m not there. Now this isn’t the easiest task because I’m typically talking to you the entire time you’re in front of my camera 😅 before I back up for some faraway shots, I will give you a pep talk with way too many tasks to remember while you’re really far away from me. I do this as a trick to make you not remember what I said and throw it all out the window. 😂 I’ve already taught you what to do, I’ve already built up the trust you have in yourself and in me, and now you can just go play. - For those who need extra encouragement, I’m always ready to help. 🤗 I’ll never leave you in the dark. I will mime a pose for you to do. 🎶 oops I did it again 🎶 - I let imposter syn 🎶 oops I did it again 🎶 - I let imposter syndrome sneak in. - It’s not the first time the comparison game got the best of me. Nor is it the first time I got sucked into doom scrolling. 🤦🏻‍♀️ - Once again, finding myself shoving every accomplishment I’m proud of in a box because I saw a glimmer of someone else’s highlight reel. One that seemed to have greener grass. If only, if only…. - I need to stop sabotaging my goals because I’m a victim to imposter syndrome. 🙅🏻‍♀️ - So now I’m sitting here writing this caption to myself to shut that shit down. Because I’m needing a reminder that I’m still a badass in my own spirit. My energy, craft, time, and soul is a gift. I’m worth more than “maybe” or “if only.” - I’m sitting here reminding myself: I stand out from the rest, and other people are allowed to too. My journey is meant for me. Stop comparing that journey to someone else’s. - Cheering each other on for our uniqueness is more productive, beautiful, and needed in this world than tearing ourselves (or each other) down by passive comparison. The game is only holding us back. - My accomplishments from yesterday still define me today. The path I’m on is the one meant for me. I am still made of magic. 🪄✨ - I’m sharing this because I know someone else might need to hear this too. Keep going, boo. - Now I’ll just go ahead and step back into my own lane. 😂

What I’ve learned since starting my photography What I’ve learned since starting my photography business at 18 years old: - I will always be learning, growing, evolving, and creating. ✨ Pushing myself creatively can be exciting, not scary. Learning to love people well and meeting them where they’re at will always be a priority of mine. 💛 - I will fail sometimes simply because I’m human - and that’s okay. Finding supportive communities both in and out of the wedding world is critical for my mental health. - I’ve learned what burnout looks like and it sucks. 🤦🏻‍♀️ But I’ve also learned what self care actually means to me. I’m still learning about what that balance looks like. Regardless, the journey will keep going, and my place in this world will always be valuable. Prioritizing myself, too, is important. 🥰 - The way I capture stories is unlike anyone else. Similarly, I cannot capture stories exactly like someone else. As hard as it is to not compare the two, I’ve learned (and continue to learn) to lean into ME and my own magic. 🪄✨ Embracing that has let me and my work flourish. - ✨The only limits that exist are the limits I put on myself.✨ - P.S. thanks to my friend + associate @mirageandlight for this BTS of me and @nathanochoa.
