One of my favorite things about going to Ohio so often is the fact that I get to explore what feels like a whole new world, and meet so may wonderful people along the way. For this particular trip, I was traveling solo in Cleveland to photograph a wedding. On my time off, I went exploring. I found some beautiful parks, long walking paths, good restaurants, and had a few scheduled sessions throughout my stay. I had previously done some research on Hinckley Lake and knew I wanted to take Tristan and Ben there for their engagement session. About an hour before meeting them, I went exploring around this huge park and started mapping out the places where I wanted to take them. I parked a few times to walk around and get closer to the water, and to see what was around the corner. (There was definitely a moment where I got lost because I was busy snapchatting my adventure and got distracted – 0ops! Luckily, I found my car again just as a huge storm was passing through.)
When I met up with Tristan and Ben for their engagement session, boy was my heart swooning. These two really love each other and they hold that love so dearly. Their wedding day was just about a month away, so all of our excitement for their big day was building. I love that I was able to give them a break from wedding planning and just enjoy a date night together. I took these two to my favorite spots I had found, and had so much fun with them as we explored this gorgeous location and celebrated their love.
I can’t WAIT to share their wedding day with you. It was definitely one for the books.
“Let my feet be swept and certain, walk along the path searching for you. Let my eyes see through illusions. Let my heart be wild and free. Let the truth come down from the mountain. The river runs and winds its way to me.” – Joshua Hyslop
