Man oh man do I adore this couple. I photographed their engagement session while I was in Ohio for another wedding, and immediately fell in love with their connection with each other. The way Ben holds Tristan is so sweet and gentle, but also caring and protective. They trusted me to just be themselves and I still swoon over their photographs.
Tristan and Ben’s wedding day took place at the Pine Lodge Banquet Facility in Washington Court House, Ohio. I was thrilled to travel back to Ohio to document their wedding day.
The decided to do a first look before their ceremony, which was so romantic and beautiful. Having a secluded moment before all of the wedding festivities can help calm wedding day nerves. Being able to just have a calm, quiet moment together to hold each other and pray is so moving to be a part of. Their outdoor ceremony was lovely. The way Ben looked at Tristan as she walked towards him down the aisle is something I’d never forget. He couldn’t stop crying – it was so adorable and so special. They couldn’t say their vows for one another without tears. Their ceremony reflected their love story, and was really powerful – I even had a hard time keeping my emotions together. So, so sweet.
Their reception was inside the banquet center where they had strung a bunch of super pretty twinkle lights. We had tacos for dinner and enjoyed a bunch of cookies from the cookie bar for dessert. Towards the end of the reception, we snuck away from the guests and they danced away in the gorgeous sunset light. I don’t know what else I could’ve asked for. This was one for the books.
