Kirsten and Andrew is a sweet and SUPER adorable couple I got to meet this past year. I love connecting with them at their engagement session in Downtown San Juan Capistrano. This Spring, they got married at the Oak Canyon Nature Center in Anaheim. Their reception was held at Cooks Chapel – a super cool new venue tucked away inside of The Anaheim Packing House. (And YES, they cater. And YES, it was delicious.) I loved all of the little details throughout the day. They had custom made Vans for their wedding shoes that included their initials. They included a chalk board at their alter during their ceremony that shared the timeline of their relationship. At the reception, they had succulent place cards that doubled as favors for the guests to take home, and custom mad-libs for the guests to fill out during cocktail hour.
During the reception festivities, the bride had put together a slideshow featuring her favorite photos and memories with her dad, who had passed away when she was younger. She planned this instead of a Father/Daughter dance. Little did she know, Andrew had something special in store for her. After the slideshow ended, a song began, and she was lead out to the dance floor where her Dad’s best friend (who also officiated the ceremony for Kirsten and Andrew) joined her. One by one, these special men in her life, her Dad’s closest friends, switched out to dance with their precious Kirsten. There was not a dry eye in the room. There is so much power that can be found in love. It was a moment I will never forget.
Congratulations, Kirsten and Andrew. I’m so, so happy for you two. I really loved being a part of your wedding. Thank you for having me along to document your beautiful love story.
